"What is cosplay?" Maybe depending on where you live you may have hear this question several times. If you are one of those people who do not know, I will tell you that cosplay is the combination of the words costume and play, although nowadays it is not necessary to make a play or presentation. Basically it's about dressing up and acting like a character, not just an anime, video game, or comic book character, it can be from any cartoon and movie, story, etc. The basis is to transform into that character and of course have fun!
To do a cosplay you need the costume, makeup and attitude haha. The suit can be bought or made, although if you want to participate in a contest, chances are you must make things by yourself to your suit or have someone’s help. It is a very creative and fun activity in addition to giving you the opportunity to be a character that you love and get away from your routine life.
Easy cosplay?
"What simple Cosplay can I do?" Is there really any easy and simple cosplay to do? Well, this is really going to depend on two things.
First is how much you look like a character physically and in the way they dress. Of course this will make you buy or do less things for your suit, maybe you have clothes that you can wear, or maybe you just need the minimum of makeup to achieve it. An of course it depends on how much you want to look like your character but I’ll talk about it next.
The second has to do with the level of perfectionism you have with your cosplay. Oh yeah! Well, if you are a person who does not care making a cosplay without resembling every last detail, then I suppose finding a simple cosplay can work for you. Surely there are those people who to make a "simple" cosplay may not be as simple as we imagined. Either because of the appearance of the character, the clothes he/she/it wears or the level of perfection with which everyone feels comfortable. For example, once I saw someone ask if it was necessary to wear contact lenses or not to make a good cosplay. But the answer to this is relative and personal especially if you are not going to present yourself before a jury. What is your definition of a good cosplay? If there are no problems in using contact lenses (or any other element) then wearing them will take you to represent that character as similar as possible in all its aspects and perhaps in the most satisfactory way. But if you prefer not to use that element (either glasses, wig, shoes, etc.) Make a cosplay in your style and in the way that you will most enjoy the moment.

The first cosplay
"I would like to do a cosplay but I don't know what to do" Whether you want to start a cosplay or have already done several, at some point you might have gone through this situation. I will tell you that the best way to do a cosplay is to decide on a character and start moving to build it. Yup, that's it. There are millions of characters you can make, so you can find one that suits your budget. And one of the best things about cosplay: age doesn't matter. I mean, there are endless of characters! From little ones to grandparents. Of course if you have friends or family to accompany and cheer you on your first cosplay the better!
Go to a convention, it can be from a small one to a large one, whereever you feel more comfortable to wear your cosplay. And of course if it is the first cosplay you can try some kind of easy cosplay as I mentioned earlier. Your cosplay does not have to be the best of the event or needs the most elaborate design, remember that if you like it and want to keep on with it, there are always chances to improve it and do it better next time. Also, once in the event you will camouflage yourself among the other cosplayers (person who does cosplay) so you Will become part of the big sea of costumes.
Last and most important: Don't make excuses! If you don't want to cosplay on the street on an whatever day, you don't have to, as I said before, look for an event, but pay attention! The point is that you go and wear your cosplay without excuses. Going to an event does not mean that you must stay all the hours that it is operating, you can perfectly decide the time you want to stay in it. At the end of the day you have worked for your cosplay, you have thought about it and you have probably spent at least a penny on doing it, so I encourage you to go and enjoy with the many people you will find doing cosplay just like you. Yeiii!
